Precast erection is complete on the new 170,000 SF Hawaii State Hospital project! Patients and staff are expected to move into the new facility in 2021. This "total precast" project consists of 2,500+ precast pieces produced by GPRM Prestress in Hawaii. The near $161,000,000 medical facility was designed with security in mind - Hawaii State Hospital will be safer and more secure for patients and staff alike. Hawaii State Hospital brought many new jobs to the medical field in Hawaii with 230-250 staff. Hawaii State Hospital provides 144 beds for at-risk patients, a courtroom, fitness space, occupational and recreational therapy spaces, and group therapy rooms for anger management, substance use, and social skills training. Hawaii State Hospital will be a great medical facility for the physical and mental health needs of its patients. DesignCast is extremely proud to add this project to their library of work.
