Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command (JPAC)-Oahu, Hawaii

At 134,000 square feet spread across three levels, the Joint Prisoner or War/Missing in Action (POW/MIA) Accounting Command was a project that really brought out the emotions among military families in Hawaii. Completed in 2017 and costing around $85M the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command facility was the start of bringing closure to the many families that have lost a loved one overseas. Unique features include the increased size of each floor at each level and the exterior precast panels designed with a complex relief pattern. The interior is climate-controlled and thoroughly lit which is both comfortable and functional. Across the three-story building is a nursing room, dining room with a kitchen and a large lanai, many breakrooms throughout, ten restrooms and nine shower rooms with lockers, numerous workplaces, laboratories, and ancillary facilities.
